Talk:Death Mode

In the new update, making melee contact with a monster while moving in Death Mode seems to massively increase its contact damage.

I took 29 damage from a zombie, then I ran into it and took 120 damage. 66.234.247.34 16:26, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

In Death Mode, at the moment, The Destroyer seems to be entirely unbeatable without an extremely effective cheese strategy, and only for certain classes. The lasers are practically instant death, thousands of probes come and surround me, and the lasers seem to be impossible to dodge. What do I do? I have not run into this problem with any other boss (SCal included) except for Skeletron Prime. 68.203.89.180 19:44, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

Please do not post complaints here regarding the difficulty of the mod, if you have suggestions/complaints please join the Calamity Mod Discord and voice them there. If you are really struggling with the Destroyer this much, there is no shame in disabling death mode and fighting it in a lower difficulty. Merkalto (talk) 20:20, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

I get that Death Mode is supposed to be hard, but my complaint was that the Mechanical Bosses do not match the difficulty of the other Hardmode bosses, such as Brimstone Elemental, Plantera, and Golem. Sorry about posting my complaint in the wrong area. 97.99.21.28 12:08, 9 April 2019 (UTC)

Also, although it has nothing to do with the Destroyer, Retinazer keeps despawning when Spazmatism dies when I fight the Twins. 97.99.21.28 12:27, 9 April 2019 (UTC)

Death-Mode Eye of Cthulhu (kind of) bad

I really want the Eye of Cthulhu to go into it's second phase on first hit, because I wanna see its first form.
