There's no mention of purified gel on vanilla wiki nor why would someone think to look? Calamity modifies the recipe, it only makes sense the calmity wiki states the difference.

This is backed up by googling "calamity nights edge", this is/was a common question, possibly remedied only by a reddit post which is easy to be missed.
