The 1.4.2.104 update added new patreon items along with reworks to Revengeance Mode Queen Bee, The Twins, The Destroyer, and Skeletron Prime. The update also introduced the Astral Infection debuff for Astral Infection-related content, gave most of the remaining Rare item variants original sprites, and made several balance changes to some post-Moon Lord weapons.

Aquatic Scourge

  • No longer drops Aquatic Emblem in Normal Mode.

Astrum Aureus

  • Now inflicts Astral Infection for 4 seconds on contact instead of God Slayer Inferno for 3 seconds.
  • Flame crystals now inflict Astral Infection for 3 seconds instead of God Slayer Inferno for 2 seconds.
  • Lasers now inflict Astral Infection for 2 seconds instead of God Slayer Inferno for 1 second.
  • Aureus Spawn now inflicts Astral Infection for 2 seconds.

Astrum Deus

  • Head segments for both the small and spectral worms now inflict Astral Infection for 4 seconds instead of God Slayer Inferno for 3 seconds.
  • Body segments for both the small and spectral worms now inflict Astral Infection for 3 seconds instead of God Slayer Inferno for 2 seconds.
  • Tail segments for both the small and spectral worms now inflict Astral Infection for 2 seconds instead of God Slayer Inferno for 1.5 seconds.
  • Lasers now inflict Astral Infection for 3 seconds instead of God Slayer Inferno for 2 seconds.
  • Mines now inflict Astral Infection for 5 seconds instead of God Slayer Inferno for 4 seconds.
  • Orbitting Astrum Deus Probes now inflict Astral Infection for 2 seconds on contact instead of God Slayer Inferno for 1.5 seconds.

Brain of Cthulhu

  • No longer drops Ocean Crest in Normal Mode.

The Destroyer

  • No longer has specialized resistances to certain projectiles, and now takes 20% damage from infinitely piercing non-minion projectiles, and divides the damage of other piercing projectiles by the amount of times they pierce.
  • Reworked Revengeance Mode AI:
    • As it loses health, its speed increases but it fires lasers less frequently.
    • Uses only normal lasers above 66% health, only frost lasers between 33-66%, and only homing lasers below 33%.
    • Homing lasers now start homing after 3 seconds instead of 2, but speed up after 4.5 seconds instead of 6.
    • Body segments with their Probes still attached have extra defense.
    • Body segments with their Probes detached have less defense.
    • Body segments that have lost their Probes will fire scraps instead of lasers.
    • Now has a size scale factor of 1.5x in both Revengeance and Death Mode instead of having a 1.2x factor in Revengeance Mode, and 1.25x in Death Mode.

The Devourer of Gods

  • Phase 2's tail is now invincible for 12 seconds upon spawning instead of 6.

Jungle Dragon, Yharon

  • Fireballs no longer have increased visual effects if fast lighting is selected.

King Slime

  • Decreased teleportation frequency in Revengeance and Death Mode.

Polterghast

  • Improved despawn behavior.

Providence, the Profaned Goddess

  • Can now be lifestealed off of while not in either of her cocoon phases.
  • Can now drop Elysian Aegis and Elysian Wings in Normal Mode.

Queen Bee

  • Reworked Revengeance Mode AI:
    • Charges less times in a row.
    • Fires more stingers, but they no longer have a random spread.
    • Can now spawn Hornets in addition to regular bees.

Ravager

  • Missiles are now faster in Normal and Expert Mode and have afterimages.

Skeletron Prime

  • Buffed Boss Rush health from 780,000 to 980,000.
    • Buffed Prime Cannon's Boss Rush health from 350,000 to 450,000.
    • Buffed Prime Vice's Boss Rush health from 440,000 to 540,000.
    • Buffed Prime Laser's Boss Rush health from 280,000 to 380,000.
  • Arms now have their own health modifier of 1.15x Режим Месть / 1.45x Режим Смерть instead of sharing theirs with the head.
  • Can now drop Burden Breaker while enraged in Revengeance Mode.
  • Reworked Revengeance Mode AI:
    • Head is almost immune to damage until all four arms are killed, but the arms have reduced HP.
    • The head gains new abilities each time an arm is killed and goes berserk when all four arms are slain.
    • Actively attacks the player with two arms at once, and switches which arms it is using over time.
    • Head and melee arms inflict Bleeding on contact.
    • Removed random spread from Prime's Laser's lasers.
    • Changed the pattern of its laser ring.
    • Prime Cannon can now fire rockets.
    • Prime Vice moves less erratically.

Storm Weaver

  • Increased phase 2's Death Mode and Boss Rush segment count from 32 to 42.
  • Projectiles which can pierce more than 4 times and don't pierce infinitely will now have their damage divided by the amount of times they pierce on phase 2's body segments.
  • Minions now deal full damage to Storm Weaver.
  • Phase 1's tail now shares its damage reduction formula with phase 2's segments.
  • No longer starts Rain during the Devourer of Gods fight.
  • Decreased phase 2's movement speed.
  • No longer enrages when brought out of Space during the Devourer of Gods fight.
  • Increased enraged movement speed.

Supreme Calamitas

  • Arena on Normal and Expert Modes is now as small as her Revengeance Mode arena.
  • Arena no longer deletes liquids.
  • Can now drop Fabstaff, Soma Prime, and Staff of Blushie.
  • All weapon drop rates doubled except for melee/rogue hybrid weapons, to give them equal drop rates.
  • No longer instantly kills the player if they take less than 100 damage from a hit.

The Twins

  • Buffed Spazmatism's Boss Rush health from 1,000,000 to 1,300,000.
  • Buffed Retinazer's Boss Rush health from 700,000 to 900,000.
  • Reworked Revengeance Mode fight:
    • Increased the length of most large dashes to make them less oppressive.
    • Spazmatism uses Shadowflame instead of Cursed Flames.
    • Spazmatism goes berserk and does super fast charges when at low health or when Retinazer is killed.
    • Removed random spread from Retinazer's lasers in phase 1.
    • Reduced the amount of lasers Retinazer fires in phase 2 until at low health or Spazmatism is killed.
    • Retinazer can now charge in phase 2 if Spazmatism is killed, which leave behind homing laser rockets.

Enemies

  • Nerfed the damage of Armored Digger's scraps from 64 / 128 Режим Эксперта to 60 / 120 Режим Эксперта, and its spawn rate can now be affected by spawn rate modifiers other than the Zen and Zerg Potions.
  • Various Astral Infection enemies now inflict the Astral Infection debuff:
    • Aries, Astralachnea, Astral Slime, Big Sightseer and its spit, Fusion Feeder, Hadarian, Hive, Mantis, Nova, and Stellar Culex now inflict Astral Infection for 2 seconds on contact.
    • Astral Probe now inflicts Astral Infection for 2 seconds at all times instead of God Slayer Inferno for 2.5 seconds after defeating Astrum Aureus.
    • Atlas now inflicts Astral Infection for 2 seconds.
    • Hiveling and Small Sightseer now inflict Astral Infection for 1 second.
  • Astral Slime now drops 8-12 / 11-16 Режим Эксперта Astral Ore after defeating Astrum Deus.
  • Revengeance Mode Black Recluse, Clinger, Gastropod, Giant Tortoise, Ice Tortoise, Plagueshell, and Sand Tortoise can no longer be stun locked upon reaching 25% health instead of at all times.
  • Revengeance Mode Crimson Axe, Cursed Hammer, and Enchanted Sword can no longer be stun locked upon reaching 50% health instead of at all times.

  • Revengeance Mode Paladin can no longer be stunlocked upon reaching 15% health instead of at all times.

    • Hide of Astrum Deus now provides immunity to and inflicts Astral Infection onto enemies instead of God Slayer Inferno.
    • Astral Arcanum and Astral Bulwark now provide immunity to Astral Infection instead of God Slayer Inferno.
    • Astral armor's set bonus, Astral Blade, Astral Hamaxe, Astral Pickaxe, Astral Pike, Astral Scythe, Astral Staff, Heavenfallen Stardisk, Hive Pod, Nebulash, Quasar, Radiant Star, Starfall, Stellar Knife, and Titan Arm now inflict Astral Infection.
    • Astralachnea Staff now inflicts Astral Infection instead of God Slayer Inferno.
    • Astral Blaster now inflicts Astral Infection for 2 seconds instead of Frostburn for 4 seconds.
    • Hide of Astrum Deus' explosion now inflicts Astral Infection instead of God Slayer Inferno.
    • Stellar Cannon's explosions now inflict Astral Infection for 5 seconds instead of God Slayer Inferno for 2 seconds.
  • Acceleration Rounds, Acid Rounds, Anti-materiel Rifle, Arctic Arrows, Arterial Assault, Astral Blaster, The Ballista, Barinade, Barinautical, Bloodfire Arrows, Claret Cannon, Contagion, Elysian Arrows, Galeforce, The Hive, Hydra, Impaler, Scorpio, and SDFMG's projectiles now make sounds upon hitting blocks.
  • Buffed Abyssal Tome's damage from 40 to 42, but it no longer inflicts Brimstone Flames.
  • Aeries' blasts no longer have knockback.
  • Nerfed Aero Stone's jump speed boost from 200% to 100% without auto jump, and 40% to 25% with auto jump.
  • Alpha Ray and Genisis' beams now grant enemies 100 local immunity frames instead of 80.
  • Changed Anti-materiel Rifle's use sound from PlasmaBlast to LargeWeaponFire.
  • The Bee now has reduced effectiveness with Scarlet Devil when a stealth strike is performed.
  • Adjusted the lighting for Blight Spewer, Flarefrost Blade, Phangasm, Scarlet Devil, and Xeroc Greatsword's projectiles.
  • Apotheosis now uses 33 Cosmilite Bars, Darksun Fragments, Endothermic Energy, Nightmare Fuel, and Phantoplasm in its recipe instead of 77, and 2 Staves of the Mechworm instead of 3.
  • Buffed Asteroid Staff's damage from 130 to 180.
  • Buffed Augur of the Elements' damage from 74 to 150, and reuse delay from 10 to 5.
  • Baleful Harvester changes:
    • Buffed damage from 110 to 160.
    • Shot skulls are now faster, ignore water, last 5 seconds instead of 10, and have a blood particle trail and afterimages.
    • Flares now last 3 seconds instead of 4 and no longer produce light.
    • Now summons more skulls from off screen on true melee hits.
    • Now uses 20 Solar Fragments in its recipe instead of 30 Pumpkins and 200 Spooky Wood, and now requires an Ancient Manipulator to craft instead of a Hardmode anvil.

  • Catastrophe Claymore's projectiles now grant enemies 10 local immunity frames.
  • Buffed Cosmic Kunai's damage from 75 to 150, but nerfed use animation from 5 to 10.

    • Vanquisher Arrows now use 1 seasonal energy.

    • Cleansing Blaze and Soul Piercer now use 6 seasonal energy.
    • The Enforcer and Stream Gouge now use 7 seasonal energy.
  • Buffed Crystyl Crusher's damage from 255 to 500 and gave it a 25% chance to land a critical strike.
  • Renamed Daedalus Circlet to Daedalus Mask.
  • Buffed Devastation's damage from 114 to 115.
  • Drataliornus now uses 30 Auric Ore, 30 Darksun Fragments, 60 Effulgent Feathers, 30 Endothermic Energy, 30 Nightmare Fuel, and 3 Yharim's Gifts in its recipe instead of 80, 80, 120, 80, 80, and 3 respectively.
  • Buffed Eldritch Tome's damage from 32 to 36, and critical strike chance from 3% to 5%, but it no longer inflicts Brimstone Flames.
  • Elysian Aegis and Elysian Wings now use the Класс редкости: 12 rarity instead of expert.
  • Buffed Empyrean Knives' damage from 650 to 1100.

  • Nerfed Heart of the Elements' jump speed boost from 200% to 100% (220% to 110% when the elementals are hidden).
  • Increased Hell Burst's range and significantly reduced the amounts of dust on death.
  • Nerfed Infernal Blood, Mushroom Plasma Root, and Red Lightning Container's Rage Mode damage boosts in Death Mode from 60% to 50% each.
  • Buffed Infinity's use time from 108,000 to 1800, and changed its firing pattern.
  • Increased the underwater fall speed of Iron Boots.
  • Nerfed Lead Wizard's damage from 88 to 70, but it now has an additional 30% chance to land a critical strike, and its firing pattern was adjusted.
  • Buffed Lucrecia's damage from 75 to 90.
  • Buffed Mirror Blade's damage from 236 to 295, and maximum damage from 600 to 750. It no longer consumes mana.
  • Buffed Murasama's shot speed from 15 to 24.
  • Nerfed Neptune's Bounty's damage from 300 to 250.
  • Nerfed Obsidian armor's set bonus rogue damage and critical strike chance boosts from 10% to 5%, defense from 3 to 2, and lava invulnerability from 5 seconds to 3.
  • Buffed P90's use animation from 2 to 1 and it now fires 2 bullets per use.
  • Nerfed Photoviscerator's use animation from 5 to 10, it now fires 2 streams of fire per use instead of 1, and reduced the size of its flame particles.
  • Revengeance's tooltip no longer states that Rage and Adrenaline are new stats.
  • Nerfed Rouge Slash's damage from 90 to 70.
  • Increased the volume for Seething Discharge and Yharon's Kindle Staff's use sound.
  • Buffed Scourge of the Cosmos' damage from 1500 to 2200.
  • Buffed SDFMG's use animation from 4 to 2.
  • Increased Shadethrower's chance to not consume Gel from 33% to 66%.
  • Buffed Shadowbolt Staff's damage from 170 to 200.
  • Buffed Soma Prime's use animation from 3 to 2, and it now fires 2 bullets per use.
  • Spear of Paleolith now requires a Hardmode Anvil to craft instead of a Pre-Hardmode Anvil.
  • Stellar Contempt now requires an Ancient Manipulator to craft.
  • Buffed Terror Blade's damage from 250 to 350.
  • Buffed Ultra Liquidator's damage from 96 to 145.
  • Split Vanquisher Arrows now deal 100% main arrow damage instead of 70%.
  • Venusian Trident changes:
    • Buffed damage from 225 to 450.
    • Cinders now pierce three times, and grant enemies 10 local immunity frames.
    • Explosion now grants enemies 8 local immunity frames instead of 2.
    • Renamed cinders from "Flame" to "Venusian Cinder".
    • Tweaked initial bolt's lighting.
  • Buffed Vesuvius' damage from 70 to 75.

Other

  • Nerfed Adrenaline Mode:
    • Nerfed base damage boost in Revengeance Mode from 250% to 150%, and burnout damage from 149.5% to 49.5%.
    • Nerfed base damage boost in Death Mode from 700% to 500%, and burnout damage from 298% to 165%.
  • Changed Charred Ore's light color and changed its map color from (#800000 ●) to (#11101A ●).
  • The Drunk Princess can now mention "Christopher Pham", "DemoN K!ng", "Malik Ciaramella", "Ryan Baker-Ortiz", "Aleksanders Denisovs", "TheSilverGhost", "Lucazii", "Shay", "Prism", "BobIsNotMyRealName", "Guwahavel", "Azura", "Joshua Miranda", "Doveda", "William Chang", "Arche", "DevilSunrise", "Yanmei", "Chaos", "Ryan Tucker", "Fish Repairs", "Melvin Brouwers", "Vroomy Has -3,000 IQ", "The Goliath", and "DaPyRo".

    • Nerfed base damage boost in Revengeance Mode from 150% to 50%, and maximum damage boost from 210% to 110%.
    • Nerfed base damage boost in Death Mode from 300% to 170%, and maximum damage boost from 510% to 350%.
  • Added the name "Emmett" for the Tax Collector.

Resprites

  • Resprited Rage and Adrenaline meters.
  • Resprited The Evolution, Fabled Tortoise Shell, Giant Tortoise Shell, Hide of Astrum Deus, Samurai Badge, and Void of Extinction.

Fixes

  • Fixed Heart of Darkness, Laudanum, and Stress Pills dropping much more often than intended.
  • Fixed Photosynthesis Potion bypassing Supreme Calamitas' reduction of healing from hearts.
  • Pumpkin armor no longer boosts rogue damage more than other classes.
  • Fixed rogue damage being boosted by ranged stats instead of throwing.
  • Fixed Sand Dollar not shooting multiple boomerangs.
  • Fixed Soul of Cryogen being unobtainable.
  • Fixed The Slime Gods sometimes dropping two sets of loot.
  • Fixed Vesuvius always dropping from Betsy.
  • Fixed Vivid Clarity using Venusian Trident in its recipe instead of Helium Flash.
