Stealth Strike Explosion

The Supernova is a craftable post-Moon Lord rogue bomb. It throws a smart bomb that slows to a halt before quickly homing in on the nearest enemy, or returning to the player if no target is found. The bomb itself can also pierce infinitely through enemies before gaining its homing, though only dealing 1% damage. The bomb deals 5% damage on impact before producing a large delayed explosion that sucks in enemies while attracting itself towards bosses. The explosion deals 100% damage to the initial target but decreases by 5% for each subsequent hits.

Performing a stealth strike with the Supernova will cause the bomb to instead collapse into an energy field, rapidly dealing damage before detonating in a massive screen-spanning explosion that visually shakes the screen. The bomb and explosion deal 70% as much damage from their original values, and the energy field deals 0.0036% damage before detonating. The explosion resulting from the field does not having diminishing damage on multiple hits.

Its best modifier is Flawless.

Trivia

• A Supernova is a large, powerful stellar explosion that occurs at the end of a massive star's life cycle.
• In the Get fixed boi seed, its explosions can pull the player into them. Additionally, stealth strike explosions deal 100x their normal damage, but can damage the player.

• 2.0.4.001:
  • Reworked:
    • Buffed damage from 675 to 5036 and knockback from 8 to 18, but nerfed use time from 24 to 70 and stealth strike damage modifier from 108% to 70%.
    • No longer tosses a gravity-affected bomb that creates an explosion and shrapnel on hit, and stealth strikes no longer spawn energies as they travel.
    • Now tosses out a bomb which automatically homes towards nearby enemies. On hit, bombs create an explosion that pulls in enemies, and pulls itself towards bosses.
    • Stealth strikes now collapse briefly on hit before creating a massive, screen-wide explosion.
  • Increased sell price from 30 to 48 .
