Use
The Spiteful Candle is a Hardmode furniture item that is sold by the Drunk Princess for 50 . It emits light and right-clicking the placed candle grants the Spite buff, which causes enemies to take 1.07x damage from the player's attacks. This extra damage bypasses the enemy's defense and damage reduction, however it does not affect enemies that have 99% damage reduction or more.
This buff lasts permanently and persists after death, but will be overridden if Limber, Resilience, or Vigor are applied or the player cancels the buff.
Notes
- Unlike the Water and Peace Candles, it cannot be held by the player and is required to be placed down in order to receive its effects.
- Like all items sold by the Drunk Princess, a Discount Card or other similar items will not reduce its buy price.
- The placed candle will be dropped if it makes contact with lava.
- This does not apply with other liquids such as water.
