The Speed Blaster is a craftable Hardmode ranged weapon that is a direct upgrade to the Paintball Gun. When used, it fires one paintball per shot. Paintball shots have a short range and low accuracy by default and drop visual paint on collision. Right clicking while holding down the movement keys will perform a short dash in the direction being traveled and fires an extremely fast paint glob that deals 450% base damage and also changes the color of the paintball shots. After dashing, the fire rate, velocity, and accuracy of paint shots are greatly increased for 5 seconds. The right click dash has a 5 second cooldown after being used.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

Notes

• The Calamity Mod allows the Painter to sell the Paintball Gun, allowing the player to obtain the weapon without having to kill the NPC.
• The Speed Blaster paintball shots cycle through five colors in a set order: Cyan, Blue, Magenta, Green, and Yellow.

• The weapon's noises are a reference to the Splatoon series of video games.

  • Dash shot now uses orb particles with flavor dust instead of being pure dust, and the dash cooldown now appears on the cooldown rack.
