    • No longer uses a global scaling contact damage formula based on boss velocity. Instead, it now uses a different formula for scaling contact damage based on velocity, which scales from half damage to full damage on the head, and 0 to full damage on the body and tail.
    • Body and tail are no longer immune to lifesteal.
    • Vile spit now inflicts Brain Rot for 3 seconds. It also always inflicts Weak for 1 second, with a 50% chance to inflict it for 2 seconds, a 20% chance to inflict it for 12 seconds, and a 10% chance to inflict it for 1 minute.
    • Revengeance Mode changes:
      • Splitting segments now regain health based on overall health.
      • Surface enrage no longer triggers when in front of unsafe Ebonstone walls.
      • Now always fires vile spit instead of only firing them below 90% health, and fire rate now increases as its health lowers.
      • Now starts firing cursed fireballs when below 80% health instead of 75%, cursed fireballs always inflict Cursed Inferno for 1 second, fire rate now gets slower as health lowers, and Death Mode no longer increases fire rate.
      • Slightly increased velocity given when a new head spawns, but it now only gains this velocity if far enough away from the player.
      • Now gains increased speed and acceleration when below 20% health instead of 10%.
      • Increased speed and acceleration boosts given when below 40% and 20% health.
    • Slightly decreased its maximum falling speed, heads now push away from each other, and fires shadowflame fireballs instead of cursed fireballs in Death Mode.
    • Now moves and accelerates faster, starts flying at a smaller distance, and shoots vile spit twice as fast in Master Mode.
    • Now spawns as 4 smaller worms, gains an extra 6 Revengeance Mode / 3 Death Mode segments, always fires cursed fireballs and has its first speed and acceleration boost, gains a quick burst of speed and accelerates its cursed fireball timer when a head is hit, gains its second speed and acceleration boost at 50% health instead of 20%, gains additional boosts to speed and acceleration at 10% and 5% health, and predicts the player's movement below 5% health in Revengeance Master Mode.
    • Initial damage reduction in Boss Rush now smoothly scales down from 99% to 80%, and decreased aggression in Boss Rush.
    • No longer takes 70% damage from Jester's Arrows.
    • Fixed cursed fireballs not receiving damage values in Classic and Expert Mode.
  • 2.0.3.007: Fixed its extra loot not appearing on the Boss Checklist mod.
  • 2.0.3.005: Segments in Revengeance Mode or higher can no longer fire Vile Spit or cursed fireballs if the player is too close to them.
  • 2.0.2.001: Fixed it not dropping Worm Scarf in Classic Mode.
  • 2.0.1.001:
    • Decreased velocity of Cursed Fireball projectiles by 41.67% in Revengeance and Death Modes.
    • Cursed Fireball velocities are now doubled while enraged.
    • Significantly increased the brightness of Vile Spit projectiles in all modes.
  • 2.0.0.001: Now takes 70% damage from Jester's Arrows.
  • 1.5.1.003:
    • Every other body segment, and the head segments are now immune to all debuffs in Death Mode.
    • Head and tail segments no longer have increased defense and damage reduction in Malice Mode.
      • Instead, head segments and every other body segment has 50% damage reduction and 2x defense in Death Mode.
      • This has the effect of causing it to split more often in Death Mode.
    • Decreased total number of segments in Death Mode from 82 to 67.
  • 1.5.1.001:
    • Buffed health from 150 / 210 Expert Mode / 273 Revengeance Mode (7500 / 10,500 Expert Mode / 21,567 Revengeance Mode / 22,932 Death Mode total) to 175 / 245 Expert Mode / 294 Revengeance Mode (8750 / 12,250 Expert Mode / 23,226 Revengeance Mode / 24,696 Death Mode total).
    • Now fires Cursed Flames in the direction its mouth faces instead of aiming towards the player.
    • In Revengeance Mode, segments no longer drop Demonite Ore or Shadow Scales. The treasure bag now contains an additional 120-240 Demonite Ore and 60-120 Shadow Scales.
    • Now vulnerable to cold, sickness, and heat debuffs.
    • Now drops Worm Scarf regardless of world difficulty.
  • 1.5.0.003:
    • Segments now take 60% damage from Sky Glaze and Feather Crown feathers, and 50% damage from Demon Scythe projectiles.
    • Segments can now drop Hearts when they are killed on Revengeance Mode.
    • Fixed a bug that prevented it from being marked as dead when killed on Revengeance Mode.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Nerfed Boss Rush health from 2,500,000 / 3,500,000 Expert Mode / 4,550,000 Revengeance Mode to 250,000 / 350,000 Expert Mode / 455,000 Revengeance Mode.
    • No longer drops Hearts in Revengeance or Malice Mode.

      • Moves at the highest speed immediately, instead of gradually speeding up as health lowers.
      • Slightly decreased maximum speed and acceleration.
      • Decreased player tracking distance when flying.
  • 1.4.2.106:
    • Buffed head, body, and tail's Boss Rush healths from 20,000, 30,000, and 40,000 all to 2,500,000.
    • Fixed it not spawning correctly during Boss Rush.
  • 1.4.2.105:
    • Reworked Revengeance Mode AI:
      • Now gets faster based on how many segments are left.
      • Now fires less cursed flames and vile spits later in the fight.
      • No longer gets a few seconds of extreme damage reduction when a head dies.
      • Now takes 60% damage from non-minion piercing projectiles.
      • No longer has an increased segment count compared to Expert Mode.
      • Worms will not be staggered when their head is killed, and will keep moving.
    • No longer reflects projectiles in Death Mode.
  • 1.4.2.001:
    • Nerfed head Boss Rush health from 40,000 to 20,000.
    • Nerfed body Boss Rush health from 60,000 to 30,000.
    • Nerfed tail Boss Rush health from 80,000 to 40,000.

    • Head now reflects projectiles in Death Mode.
    • No longer resists Spears and projectiles which act like them, such as Arkhalis.

  • 1.2.3.005: Head now gains a 1.85x damage modifier, and body and tail segments gain a 1.5x damage modifier.

  • 1.2.0.002:
    • Head now inflicts Marked for Death for 3 seconds in Revengeance Mode.
    • No longer fires cursed flame projectiles more often if the player has high Stress.

    • Now gains a 1.25x Revengeance Mode health and damage modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Now cuts the damage of infinitely piercing projectiles by 50% instead of 20%.
    • Head now inflicts Horror for 3 seconds, body inflicts Horror for 2 seconds, and tail inflicts Horror for 1 second in Revengeance Mode.
    • Now has a 2% Revengeance Mode chance to drop Laudanum or Stress Pills in Revengeance Mode.
  • 1.1.7.801: The status message "Rotten cysts are oozing from the corrupt land..." now appears when defeated.
