The Greatsword of Judgement's projectile.

The Greatsword of Judgement is a craftable post-Moon Lord broadsword that autoswings. Upon swinging the sword, a small and infinitely piercing white orb is fired, which slowly homes into a nearby enemy. Every 0.25 seconds, two larger white orbs are fired out on either side of the small orb, which travels a short distance before disappearing on enemy hit or after 0.5 seconds. After one second passes, the small orb dissipates, and homing white rain rapidly drop down every 0.2 seconds for the following 10 seconds at the location of the projectile's death. The rain pierces once, homes through tiles, and lasts 1 second. If 10 seconds have not passed since the last projectile's death, the next orb will only change where the rain will spawn.

Its best modifier is Legendary.

Trivia

  • This weapon and its description are references to the weapon of the same name from Dark Souls III. The rain of homing energy is reminicent of one of Lothric's attacks, which is a boss in DS3.
  • The weapon's main orb projectile is named "JUDGEMENT".

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.4.003:
    • Buffed damage from 40 to 85.
    • Main projectile now homes in slightly faster and lasts 1.5 seconds instead of 1, but spawns side projectiles every 15 frames instead of 5. Side projectiles now deal 50% base damage.
    • Aura projectile no longer deals damage. Increased the homing speed of whiterain projectiles, and increased their homing range from 12.5 tiles to 20.
    • Halved the amount of dust side projectiles spawn, and reduced the volume of its whiterain projectiles.
  • 2.0.4.001:
    • Projectiles now grant ID-static immunity frames instead of global immunity frames.
    • Now has a glowmask while being used.
    • Projectiles now home towards the closest enemy instead of the earliest enemy in the NPC array.
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 11 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 10.
    • Reworded its tooltip to no longer use "on death".
    • Increased sell price from 20 Gold Coin to 24 Gold Coin.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Nerfed damage from 60 to 48.
    • Rainbow orb projectiles now spawn 50% less often.
  • 1.4.5.001: Now uses 7 Luminite Bars in its recipe instead of 11.
  • 1.4.3.002:
    • Buffed damage from 52 to 60.
    • Moved the flavor text to the first line of tooltip.
  • 1.1.7.901: Projectile now produces less dust.
  • 1.1.7.701:
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 12 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 10.
    • Decreased the amount of dust produced.
  • 1.1.7.5: Now requires an Ancient Manipulator to craft instead of a Hardmode Anvil.
