The Deep Diver is a craftable Hardmode accessory that negates the slow movement speed while submerged in water.

While equipped, the wearer can double tap a horizontal movement key to perform a short dash with a base distance of 9 blocks, which can be used in rapid succession. Striking enemies during the dash will deal 35 melee damage, which can be affected by melee damage bonuses. Every time an enemy is struck, the wearer is given 16 immunity frames.

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.4.001:
    • Reworked:
      • No longer grants 8 defense, and no longer increases damage, defense, and movement speed, or grants a long dash while underwater.
      • Now always grants a short ram dash that can be used in rapid succession, and gives full underwater mobility.
    • Can now be crafted from 25 Sea Prisms, 5 Mollusk Husks, and 10 Any Cobalt Bars at an Anvil.
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 4 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 5.
  • 1.5.1.001: Now drops from Aquatic Scourge in all difficulties instead of in Malice Mode. Decreased drop chance from 100% Malice Mode to 10%.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Buffed base defense boost from 2 to 8. It now grants 15 defense while submerged in liquids instead of 15% increased defense.
    • Now drops from Aquatic Scourge in Malice Mode instead of Desert Scourge in all difficulties. Increased drop chance from 2.5% to 100% Malice Mode.
    • Now has a custom - Challenge Item - (#FF8C00 ●) tag instead of using the Rarity level: Rare Variant rarity.
