Water Walking Boots are an accessory that allows a player to walk on water, honey, and shimmer(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions). The player moves across these liquids at normal speed without sinking. They are found in Water Chests, though they are much rarer compared to other Water Chest items. They do not allow walking on lava. When the player is on a liquid, they may press ▼ Down to fall through the liquid, similar to a platform. On the  Desktop version,  Console version, and  Mobile version, there is a 1/10 (10%) chance to find Water Walking Boots in Ocean and Seaside Crates.

Notes

• Walking on a liquid requires a stable surface, indicated by the bright line on the surface. Moving liquid cannot be walked on and will be fallen through normally.
• Landing on the surface of liquid with Water Walking Boots equipped will not cause fall damage.
• If the player grapples something below them while they are standing on the surface of liquid, they will be pulled in.
• Riding a land mount while having the Water Walking Boots or any of its upgrades equipped will transfer its abilities to the mount (e.g. the Unicorn mount will walk on water, while the Cute Fishron mount will not).
• In Celebrationmk10(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) worlds, the chance of finding Water Walking Boots in a Water Chest increases from 1/10 (10%) to 1/7 (14.29%).
