Boss Order

Why does it say that Desert Scourge is intended to be fought before Eye of Cthulhu if it's generally more difficult to fight than the Eye of Cthulhu? NeutralGuy (talk) 01:02, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

That is where the Mod Owner decided it is meant to be fought, some might find it easier, as it's just a simple worm boss. --UncleDanny (talk) 16:28, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, but in general it has more health, does more damage, is harder to avoid without being high in the air due to its size, its summons can become an annoyance, etc. NeutralGuy (talk) 23:59, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
I generally make calamity bosses more difficult than vanilla ones as a rule, you can quote me on that. The Scourge is incredibly easy to defeat with the use of piercing weapons. Grenades and Jester's Arrows make him a complete joke. The Slime Mount can also be used to make him incredibly easy. A simple wood platform arena is enough to defeat him very easily by using the, "raging bull charging at a red cape" tactic. As in, making him charge at you in a line and then simply jumping over him. Repeat this process until he's dead. MountainDrew8 (talk) 11:57, 11 March 2017 (UTC)

Will the Dryad move in if this boss is defeated? 97.99.21.28 13:12, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

No, the Dryad will not. Willowmaine (talk) 13:17, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Why does it say "It is the earliest boss available to the player in the Calamity Mod" if you can easily kill the Hive Cyst/Perforator Cyst and summon Hive Mind/Perforators? --Neikrodent (talk) 15:34, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

This is because the wiki follows the intended boss progression. The Desert Scourge is the Calamity Boss on that list. I'll adjust that statement as it is misleading. Merkalto (talk) 18:00, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
Oki thanks--Neikrodent (talk) 18:48, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
