Lil' Plaguebringer

Not to be confused with Plague Reaper armor, a Hardmode armor set based on the ranged class.

Plaguebringer armor is a craftable Hardmode armor set that is an upgrade to the Bee armor set. While wearing the Plaguebringer Carapace, the player has a tank equipped behind them. While wearing all three set pieces, a motion blur afterimage is displayed while the player is walking, paired with additional trails of green dust while sprinting.

It consists of a Plaguebringer Visor, Plaguebringer Carapace, and Plaguebringer Pistons.

The full set grants the following stats and bonuses (this includes the set bonus):

• 32 defense
• 45% increased summon damage
• +3 max minions
• +20 max life
• 15% increased movement speed
• Grants immunity to the Plague debuff
• Friendly bees and wasps inflict the Plague debuff for 5 seconds.
• Summons a small Plaguebringer that spawns bees when enemies are nearby which deal 25 summon damage and inflict the Poisoned debuff on hit.
• Allows the player to dash a base distance of 23 blocks by double-tapping the ◀ Left or ▶ Right key. Any enemies contacting the plague clouds trailed from dashing will take 50 summon damage and will be inflicted with the Plague for 5 seconds. The player is granted 12 immunity frames when hitting an enemy with the dash.
• The player has a chance to spawn flowers and other plants on grass beneath them, alongside random dye plants on grassless dirt, similarly to the Bloom Stone.

• 2.0.3.007:
  • Buffed Plaguebringer Carapace's summon damage boost from 12% to 15%, and Plaguebringer Pistons' summon damage boost from 13% to 15%.
  • Plaguebringer Pistons no longer make the player spawn bees while running.
  • Nerfed Lil' Plaguebringer's base damage from 80 to 25, and it now spawns bees when enemies are nearby instead of dealing direct damage to every nearby enemy.

• 2.0.3.005: Fixed Plaguebringer Pistons plague bees scaling twice with summon damage.

• 2.0.1.003: Plaguebringer Pistons can now properly grow Teal Mushrooms.

• 1.5.1.001: Now causes bees and wasps to inflict Plague for 5 seconds instead of 6.

• 1.5.0.001:
  • Moved Plaguebringer Visor and Plaguebringer Carapace's minion slot boosts to the set bonus.
  • Set bonus dash now grants the player 4 immunity frames when performing a shield bash.

  • Fixed a tooltip error with Plaguebringer Carapace where it listed less minion slots than it granted.
