The Mutated Truffle is a post-Moon Lord summon weapon that is dropped by The Old Duke. It summons a Baby Boomer minion that cycles between through three attacks, starting out by charging rapidly at enemies, shooting tooth balls which explode into homing teeth projectiles after 2 seconds, and then spinning around while summoning a large vortex that slowly chase enemies to deal damage. The minion deals 125% base damage while charging at enemies. There can only be one Baby Boomer active at a time.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Mutated Truffle has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
Trivia
- The Baby Boomer minion is referred to as "the young duke" in the buff's tooltip, and as such it lacks Old Duke's facial hair, presumably being too young to have grown it yet.
- Baby boomers are a generational cohort born roughly between 1946-1964.
