Script Errors

After some recent updates, many of the item links starting from the bottom are replaced with "The time allocated for running scripts has expired." I don't know when, but it was working earlier today. --Charjet (talk) 19:36, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

Luxors gift

I think Luxors gift should be in with the other things for all classes pre-boss, as it provides a decent bonus for all classes

victide

victide gear should be removed ferom the pre boss setups as victide is made with victory shards and victory shards are dropped by the BOSSES: Desert scourge, EOC and aquatic scourge

Vampiric talisman

I feel that the vampiric talisman should be added to rouge class accessories pre-yharon (Phase 2), pre-Scal, and endgame because as your damage increases the vampiric talisman heals you way more and becomes incredibly useful. Am I right?

  • Are you supposed to kill cryogen before the mech bosses? I'm not sure, though the darkecho greatbow is in the pre-mech section. Because of the vagueness I've just used boss checklist.
  • How "complete" should this be? Eventually every weapon? This isn't written anywhere so I've just been adding things I find during playtime.

Firstly, there's a foreword on the page detailing why we try to only have a few weapons in each tier. Secondly, Cryogen, Aquatic Scourge and Brimstone Elemental are considered on the same tier as the mech bosses, so the player can tackle them in any order. P90 op

Alright so to all the wiki contributors, I recently found out p90 is really good and lasts until pre-moonlord. Could somebody add it?

Pwnagehammer

Can someone remove the pwnagehammer and upgrades from rogue class.

Nanoblack Reaper The melee version of the nanoblack reaper is no longer available, and it should be removed from the melee post-supreme calamitas section

Why is Sparkling Empress in the pre-boss mage category when it says it can be found by fishing in the sunken sea AFTER desert scourge?

Broken hero sword stuff

How are true night's edge / true bloody edge / true excalibur in pre-calamitas/plantera section when broken hero sword is obtainable only from calamitas and mothron?

Sparkling empress needs to be removed from Pre-Boss

The draedon update (i think) made the Sparkling empress post ds. Making it not a pre boss item

Bouncing Eyeball

A very good weapon for the rogue at the beginning of the game, especially for the battle with the desert scourge due to his stealth attack that pierces all his segments, 1 shot in revenge + death + malice mode if adrenaline is active. I was always surprised that this weapon is not recommended

Flarewing Bow needs a "?" as it requires Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil

The Flarewing Bow at the pre-mechanical stage need a question mark as it does require the Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil. If playing with the changes making it technically a post 1st mech boss.

Ammunition

Ammunition section of page needs to be updated to include new types of ammunition, as well as some vanilla ammo. Basically, this section of the page needs a major overhaul, and I can't do it myself because the page is locked.

Silver bullets should be added to pre-boss and pre-perforators. They have decent damage and are viable at this time.

Unholy arrows should be added to all of pre-hardmode, they are are a viable alternative to jester arrows, albeit weaker.

Meteor shots should be added to pre-boss, they are technically available at any time, even earlier than superball bullets.

Holy arrows should be added to all of hardmode, but marked with a ? for pre-mech. They are the best arrows before Moon Lord because of their excellent damage output and piercing capabilities.

Exploding bullets should be added to pre-mech and pre-calamitas/plantera. They have good damage and AOE, simple as.

Chlorophyte bullets should be added to pre-golem. I don't need an explanation for this, they are in the pre-calamitas/plantera section and the pre-lunar events section so they should be put here.

Arctic arrows should be added to pre-calamitas/plantera. They have good damage and inflict glacial state.

Frostspark bullets should be added to pre-calamitas/plantera. They inflict good debuffs and have a damage bonus to immune enemies.

Verium bullets should be added to pre-calamitas/plantera. They are powerful and have a similar ability to chlorophyte bullets.

Enhanced nano rounds should be added to pre-golem and pre-lunar events. They are similar to chlorophyte bullets and have good damage output.

Terra arrows should be removed from pre-providence. They are really bad when compared to other arrows available at this tier, and should not be advised to be used.

Elysian arrows should be added to pre-providence, pre-polterghast, and pre-devourer of gods. They are basically better holy arrows and are even advised to be used by some guides on this wiki.

Acid rounds should be added to pre-providence. Their plague debuff and high damage make them a decent choice at this stage.

Luminite bullets should be added to pre-providence, pre-polterghast, and pre-devourer of gods. They have excellent damage and piercing and ignore invulnerability frames, making them particularly devastating

Bloodfire bullets should be added to pre-polterghast, pre-devourer of gods, and endgame. They are advised by most boss guides and are generally powerful.

Holy fire bullets should be removed from endgame. They are good, but not viable at this stage.

Vanquisher arrows should be added to pre-yharon, pre-exo-mechs/supreme calamitas and endgame due to their excellent damage, splitting capabilities and god slayer inferno debuff. This makes them the best arrows in the game.

God slayer slugs. should be added to pre-yharon, pre-exo-mechs/supreme calamitas and endgame due to their excellent damage, piercing capabilities, and warp-explosion ability. This makes them the best ammunition in the game for guns, second to none in damage and piercing.

Put a ? next to all wings and evasion scarf in the 'Pre-Mechanical Bosses' section

There should be a ? next to all wings and the evasion scarf in the pre-mechanical bosses section, as they require the orichalcum/mythril anvil to craft. And in the hardmode progression rework, you need to defeat at least one mechanical boss to get mythril/orichalcum.

Abbadon

Abaddon should be replaced with ankh shield in the pre-calamitas/plantera section. Abbadon is basically useless in boss fights and grants no defence, does not have knockback immunity and grants immunity to far less debuffs compared to the ankh shield. So Ankh shield is objectively better

Abaddon provides resistance to brimstone flames, which is inflicted by all of Calamitas' attacks. That's why it's listed there.Hail-gpuser (talk) 15:15, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

Star Cannon

The star cannon does far more dps with than literally anything else in pre hardmode for rangers so why is it only in the post skele tier? also unless I am missing something, it can be obtained pre boss. It can be obtained pre-boss, but is impractical to do so as meteorites are meant to be mined after the Eater of Worlds/Brain of Cthulhu following the normal sequence

Proporse Pistol

The proporse pistol does around triple the dps of the polaris parrotfish at max stage so it should probably be there instead of the parrotfish because A: you don't have to fish and B: don't have your stage reset upon you taking damage or it expiring naturally (btw that thing takes way too long to ramp up)

No "Ω" on Strings in Pre Perforators/Hive Mind?

While I understand why they would be useful with the Riptide, the yo-yo, they don't have an Ω symbol with it, so I'm wondering if there's supposed to be a symbol there but they forgot, or if they added a new use for string outside of yo-yos. Sorry if I'm just being "negative brain function".

Yoyos are effective with or without strings. That's why they are not marked with an Ω. UmbrellaLeef (talk) 13:17, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Early Hardmode Rework options

I've talked about this on discord before, but I just wanted to make sure everyone has a chance to weigh in: How do people feel about removing the options for those with the early HM rework disabled? It's been pretty successful, and the cluttered options are both messy to look at and have confused a decent amount of new players. It's been long enough that I don't know its worth keeping these options here anymore, but I'd like to make sure there's a consensus before doing anything here. Cobalt Armor

New cobalt armor is quite good. It provides a lot of movement speed and decent offensive stats. Its armor rating is better than statigel and its offensive stats are better if the player is moving fast enough to max out the set bonus, which isn't hard. I'd say it should definitely be included there. (Putting this here to avoid edit warring over this).

Isn't molten armor pre-boss in tmodloader?

First up: I am new to using discussions in wiki's like these, but back to the topic. Sure they'd be both hard to grind for, but reaver sharks in tmodloader still have 100% pickaxe power, and with hellstone having 65% pickaxe power requirement, and obsidian 55%, along with the hellforge not even requiring pickaxe power, shouldn't that consider it a pre-boss set? Technically, yes, but it's not really intended to be pre-boss so we consider it to be sequence breaking and don't include it. Temp35 (talk) 21:57, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

Daedalus Set In Pre-Golem Mele?

I am Confused On why The daedalus set is in The section for Pre golem Mele When It can be crafted Right after Cryogen Has been Defeated And the player has optained a Titianium/Adamantide Pickaxe? SpikedBro (talk) 16:04, 16 August 2022 (UTC)

weird error text on hardmode content

just reached hardmode for the 50th time cuz i felt like restarting- trying out melee this time- but all of the class setups content for the hardmode section is looking kinda screwy. thumbnails for items are replaced by some error text, saying; "Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination." is it just my pc being weird, or are y'all having this same issue? This error was caused by the recent migration to MediaWiki version 1.39. If you are still seeing errors on a page, you should purge the page by going to More, near the wiki searchbar and clicking Purge cache under the dropdown. Temp35 (talk) 17:06, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
