Guide:Class setups/Hardmode
Pre-Mechanical Bosses 
Upon entering Hardmode, you now have access to a wide variety of equipment for each class. You can now start harvesting Life Fruits for the upcoming battles to increase your survivability. You can also beat Cryogen or Queen Slime for some better gear. The Calamity Mod also adds a config that reworks the early Hardmode progression if enabled. This guide will assume it is on by default.
Post-Mechanical Boss 1 
After defeating your first Mechanical Boss, you will have access to the Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil and their associated gear. You will also be able to mine Infernal Suevite at the Brimstone Crag. After grabbing the improved gear available at this tier, it is recommended to fight the Aquatic Scourge at the Sulphurous Sea to unlock the second tier of the Acid Rain event and the powerful items it has. These should more than prepare you for the next Mech fight.
Post-Mechanical Boss 2 
With your second Mechanical Boss downed, you should now have access to the Adamantite Forge and Titanium Forge and their associated gear, and you should also be able to mine Cryonic Ore and craft its associated items as well. All of these items should allow you to take on the Brimstone Elemental before facing your final Mechanical Boss.
Pre-Calamitas Clone/Plantera 
After killing the Mechanical Bosses, you should now have access to Hallowed Bars, Cryonic Bars, and Chlorophyte Bars, allowing you to get more powerful equipment. At this point, you should specialize in a single class, as the armor set bonuses become much stronger.

Pre-Golem 
The defeat of Plantera makes Perennial Ore available and Ectoplasm easily accessible from the Dungeon. Hardmode Abyss weapons and weapons from the Great Sand Shark should also now be available. The player may also obtain gear from Leviathan and Anahita and Astrum Aureus.
Post-Golem 
Defeating Golem gives the player access to Scoria Ore, and Plague enemies will begin spawning in the Jungle. Life Alloy is also now obtainable. The player can also begin preparing to fight some of the more difficult bosses of Hardmode as they approach the end of this leg of their journey.
Pre-Lunar Events 
The player should have defeated some assortment of the late Hardmode bosses and events such as The Plaguebringer Goliath, Ravager, the final tier of the Old One's Army, the Martian Invasion, Empress of Light, and Duke Fishron. This powerful gear should prepare them for the last hurdles to Moon Lord in the form of Lunatic Cultist and the Lunar Events.
Pre-Moon Lord 
Items crafted from Meld Constructs, Lunar Fragments, Astral Bars (obtainable after Astrum Deus's defeat), and some new accessories should be made before the fight against Moon Lord.
