Chibii Devourer

The Cosmic Plushie is a post-Moon Lord Death Mode-exclusive pet summoning item that summons a miniature Devourer of Gods gijinka. It is obtained by opening The Devourer of Gods' Treasure Bag with a Hardcore character while Death Mode is active.

The Chibii Devourer will follow the player on foot. If the player moves or flies far away, it will create and fly on a miniature Cosmic Guardian to keep pace. Whenever it summons or dispels the worm, the pet will generate a small burst of red light akin to the player summoning or dispelling their own mount. Chibii Devourer emits a bright pink aura trail as it moves.

When the player and Chibii Devourer are in very dark areas, Chibii Devourer may meow, scream, or stab the player for 500 damage.

The Chibii Devourer also has the unique effect of disabling the Demonshade armor's friendly Red Devil set bonus. With the full set equipped and Chibii Devourer active, the Red Devil buff and minion will not take effect.

Trivia

• In previous versions of the mod, getting stabbed would have a chance to spawn a Cosmic Guardian.
  • If the player was named "Terry", Chibii Devourer would instead summon the final phase of The Devourer of Gods.
• The method of obtaining this item is similar to the method of obtaining 0x33's Aviators in Terraria 1.3, that being killing the Eye of Cthulhu on Expert Mode with a Hardcore character.
• Its name and appearance are a reference to Kerubii, an artist that creates fan work of Calamity and depicts the bosses as female humans.
• It was programmed by and implemented for Terry N. Muse, one of the main lore writers for the mod, as a reward for defeating all the bosses in Revengeance Mode without getting hit.
• Chibii Devourer has a top running speed of just over 66 miles per hour.
• Whenever the Cosmic Plushie is used, it makes the same meowing sound effect as Meowmere's projectiles.
• Upon being stabbed by the Chibii Devourer, it will trigger the same response as to bringing down The Devourer of Gods's HP to 75%.
• The tooltip 'Sharp objects possibly included' refers to the fact that the Chibii Devourer might stab the player in the dark.
  • This characteristic is shared with the Companion Cube pet.
• The pet can also be obtained by placing the Treasure Bag into a chest and then opening it with a new Hardcore character.
• Talking to the Drunk Princess with the Chibii Devourer active will display a unique quote.
