Phantom Spirit
“Shrieks are echoing from the dungeon.
A Phantom Spirit is a post-Moon Lord flying enemy that spawns in the Dungeon after Moon Lord has been defeated. It drops Polterplasm, an end-game crafting material used mostly for crafting post-Devourer of Gods items. After killing thirty Phantom Spirits, Polterghast will spawn if it has not yet been defeated in the current world.
Similarly to a Dungeon Spirit, it spawns when defeating any enemy which has over 1000 health and drops coins in the post-Moon Lord Dungeon with a 1/6 (16.67%) / 1/4 (25%) chance. Additionally, the enemy defeated must be in front of any dangerous dungeon walls to spawn a Phantom Spirit. Statue-spawned and Old One's Army enemies do not spawn spirits, due to them not dropping any coins.
There are multiple variants of Phantom Spirits which are stronger than the normal variant; each has an equal chance to spawn. The Happy Spirit has the largest damage and health, followed by the Angry Spirit and then the Sad Spirit.
The Happy Spirit is uniquely able to fire a fast, ghostly projectile at the player. This variant is also spawned by Polterghast during its third phase.

Notes
- It is possible for both a Phantom Spirit and a Dungeon Spirit to spawn at the same time when killing an enemy.
- Additionally, it is possible for a Dungeon Spirit to spawn after killing a Phantom Spirit. However, Phantom Spirits cannot spawn after killing Dungeon Spirits.
- Only enemies with more than 1000 life, except Phantom Spirits themselves, will count for Phantom Spirit spawns.
